- Ask the questions politely without being pushy or nosy. People open up in their own time.
- Gauge the mood of the person first. Not every question is appropriate for all moods.
- Be careful of cultural differences. In some cultures, people may find some questions too personal.
- Be aware of the stage of your relationship. Not every question is appropriate to be asked in the first meeting.
