There are just so many mobile apps out there but listed below are some very useful ones. Most apps are available both on Apple and Android. The names of the app are in bold.

Night Eyes – This is available in App Store, but you can find an alternative in Google Play for android phones also. Using this app you can clearly see in the dark. If you are lost in the jungle in the dark, this is the app to use.

Clip Drop – A truly amazing app. Apart from downloading the app on your phone, you will also need to download the app on your computer. Take a picture from your mobile and the app automatically removes the background. Place your phone before your laptop or desktop screen, click the picture on your mobile phone and it gets copied on your computer. You can use any image editor to edit the image. This app is useful to all but especially to visual artists.

WannaKicks – If you want to try out shoes before buying them, this is the app. Many shoes are listed in this app and you can try them virtually and see how they fit. This is a helpful app for you to make an informed decision.

WiFi Signal Strength Meter – This app will show you the strength of your Wifi connection on your premises. You will know where to place your system to get the strongest connection.

PrimeRuler – This augmented reality app will give accurate measurements of anything using your smartphone camera. You will need to install complementary apps for getting accurate measurements of room dimensions, ruler dimensions, etc.  

Paintmyroom – This wonderful app helps you to see beforehand how your room will look with the paint you select. There are quite a few alternatives to this app on Google Playstore.

HBR Augmented Reality – A brilliant futuristic app, especially for engineers. When you place your phone above an engineering design or blueprint and see the design through this app, you will get an augmented reality version. The diagram will come to life and appear as a three-dimensional animation.  

Fluid Simulation – This is an eye-candy but amazing app. Install it and you will see some of the most amazing animated visuals that you can relish for hours. You can even make the animation a wallpaper on your phone so the ethereally beautiful videos will play in the background. This is a visual delight not to be missed.

Colorize – If you have a black-and-white photo, hold it in front of your phone camera, click it and using this app you can easily add colour to the photo. You can also save the photo in your gallery.

Access Dots – This app will indicate a coloured dot if your phone’s camera or microphone is on. By installing this you can protect yourself from hackers who want to spy on you through your phone camera or microphone.

PhotoMath – Write a math equation on paper and photograph it using this app on your phone. The app will solve it and show you the answer. It will also show you the steps in solving the math equation. This is a wonderful app for students.

Unlim – This app provides free unlimited secure cloud storage.
